About the event
In celebration of Arab American Heritage Month, you’re invited to a special screening of BornStars, a daring Lebanese film that explores friendship, survival, rebellion, and the longing for freedom in the midst of crisis. Set in Beirut, the film follows five friends whose risky venture becomes a reflection of a generation trying to live, create, and breathe under immense pressure. Sharp, provocative, and deeply human, BornStars offers a glimpse into the contradictions of contemporary Lebanon: pain and humor, collapse and creativity, restriction and resistance.
This event is part of our Arab American Heritage Month programming, honoring the beauty, complexity, and cultural contributions of Arab communities through art and storytelling. It is also a fundraiser in solidarity with the Lebanese people.
All profits from this screening will go toward relief efforts supporting the people of Lebanon during the ongoing crisis.
We hope you’ll join us for an evening that celebrates Arab cinema…
